BLOG 3- 12 Gobal Issues

. Global warming/Climate Change : A process that raises the air temperature in the lower atmosphere due to heat trapped by greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, methane and many more.








2. Biodiversity and ecosystem losses: The variety of life in all its forms, levels and combinations. Includes ecosystem, species and genetic diversity.






3. Fisheries depletion: Is when humans fish too much and of pollution killing all the fish.









4. Deforestation: The loss of forests due to over cutting of trees. One consequence of deforestation is soil erosion, which results in the loss of protective soil cover and the water-holding capacity of the soil.





5. Water deficits: Water Crisis is a term that refers to the status of the world’s water resources relative to human demand.








6. The Oceans - Maritime safety and pollution: It keeps track of oil spills. It has always been recognized that the best way of improving safety at sea is by developing international regulations that are followed by all shipping nations.







7. Poverty - Massive step-up in the fight against poverty: The state of living on less than $2 a day, according to the World Bank. Also means having an income that is equal to or less than those established by the Office of Management and Budget as poverty level.






8. Conflict Resolution - Peacekeeping, conflict prevention, combating terrorism: A process of resolving a dispute or disagreement.







9. Education - Education for all: Education has both the teaching and learning of knowledge, proper conduct, and technical competency. It then focuses on the making of skills, trades or professions, as well as mental, moral & aesthetic development.






10. Diseases - Global infectious diseases: A disease is an abnormal condition of an organism that impairs bodily functions and can be deadly.






11. Digital Divide: The term digital divide refers to the gap between those people with effective access to digital and information technology and those without.






12. Natural Disaster prevention and mitigation: any natural phenomenon that causes great damage and loss of life; the emergency situation that is the consequence of such an event.
