BLOG 3- 12 Gobal Issues

. Global warming/Climate Change : A process that raises the air temperature in the lower atmosphere due to heat trapped by greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, methane and many more.








2. Biodiversity and ecosystem losses: The variety of life in all its forms, levels and combinations. Includes ecosystem, species and genetic diversity.






3. Fisheries depletion: Is when humans fish too much and of pollution killing all the fish.









4. Deforestation: The loss of forests due to over cutting of trees. One consequence of deforestation is soil erosion, which results in the loss of protective soil cover and the water-holding capacity of the soil.





5. Water deficits: Water Crisis is a term that refers to the status of the world’s water resources relative to human demand.








6. The Oceans - Maritime safety and pollution: It keeps track of oil spills. It has always been recognized that the best way of improving safety at sea is by developing international regulations that are followed by all shipping nations.







7. Poverty - Massive step-up in the fight against poverty: The state of living on less than $2 a day, according to the World Bank. Also means having an income that is equal to or less than those established by the Office of Management and Budget as poverty level.






8. Conflict Resolution - Peacekeeping, conflict prevention, combating terrorism: A process of resolving a dispute or disagreement.







9. Education - Education for all: Education has both the teaching and learning of knowledge, proper conduct, and technical competency. It then focuses on the making of skills, trades or professions, as well as mental, moral & aesthetic development.






10. Diseases - Global infectious diseases: A disease is an abnormal condition of an organism that impairs bodily functions and can be deadly.






11. Digital Divide: The term digital divide refers to the gap between those people with effective access to digital and information technology and those without.






12. Natural Disaster prevention and mitigation: any natural phenomenon that causes great damage and loss of life; the emergency situation that is the consequence of such an event.

e make a difference? By using the internet the world can communicate about global issues by informing people about these issues using website like piczo, i web and myspace. People search these sites for information on how to help solve these global issues. online magazines and news articles also advertize bout many organizations and what they need to help. Bloggers and chat rooms about these issues also advertize about the criticle needs of that certain organization. Internet donations also help many fund sites which these donations go toward many charities and oganizations.



























B. How can I make use of establishe
d and emerging WWW tools to support online publication?
By using tools such as facebook and myspace, these sites advertise many organizations. What is great about this, is that since these two sites and many more are very popular which then means more views of these issues will be shown.






































C. What are the best tools to use for effective communication online?
I think overall the best site for searching for different charaties and global issues would be facebook since over 10 millions people are members of facebook which then advertizes the best since their are so many users.


D. How can the Internet be used to help a community solve an environmental issue? The internet can be used to create posters and any type of thing that can be used to advertise many environmental issues.

By using these 5 steps, you will be able to easily accomplish any project since this is the method to use.
Investigating helps you understand what you are researching during the project.
Plan is when you draw or write many "Drafts" for the project.
Design is when you finally choose you final design for the create stage.
Create is when you actually accomplish the project by creating for example a poster or power point.
Evaluate is when you write a conclusion by writing advantages and disadvantages.
